NEUROLOGICAL

EXAMINATIONS

Neurological conditions are not common in the horse. However they can still occur.

A neurological investigation is indicated when suspecting 'wobbler syndrome' (cervical stenotic myelopathy, which is a disorder of the spinal cord affecting developing horses), headshaking, spinal injuries and peripheral nerve damage, amongst other conditions.

We can perform a neurological examination at your premises, generally coupled with diagnostic imaging in order to localise the site of trouble.
