FARRIER CONSULTATION

No foot, no horse. This adage, as old as the hills, is still very true nowadays.

 

Typically, radiographs are the guidance vets can provide to farriers when dealing with unbalanced feet, deep infections, white line disease and laminitis. 

 

We are happy to advise and equally happy to work in cooperation with farriers.

 

Specific conditions affecting not only the horse’s foot will require a combined approach from both farrier and vet in order to optimise prognosis and long-term outcome.
